Tradition continues at Tampa Catholic High School as we kick off our second annual Cross and Shield Celebration — “An Evening in Camelot”. In the American context the phrase Camelot is associated with a period of our history that was symbolic of hope and referred to the vision, potential and promise for the future.

Last year’s Cross and Shield Celebration raised $190,000 and allowed the school to move forward with many planned projects. Thanks to your generosity a new rubberized track was completed, 18 SmartBoards were installed in classrooms and the tuition assistance program received funding. With your noble efforts again, this year’s proceeds will benefit the next phase of the athletic complex, contribute to the tuition assistance program and to campus improvements.

The event will be held at Higgins Hall, on November 1, 2008. The evening will begin with a silent auction, cocktails and hors d’ouevres, followed by a sit down dinner sponsored by Bonefish Grill. It will conclude with a live auction hosted by Dave Schall and dancing to the fine tunes of SouthTown Fever.

As Tampa Catholic alumni, parents and community friends, please join in supporting this fundraising event. This year’s dedicated Cross and Shield Committee promises that an “Evening in Camelot” will continue last year’s tradition of a night filled with great food, libations, lively music, dancing and camaraderie.
