Our Message:
The Lotus, a flower that grows in mud, represents beauty from something ugly. As Team Lotus, we wish to bring out that beauty in a disease that has ravaged not only the gay community, but people, hetero and homosexual, around the world. By participating in something physically exhausting, we will try to bring hope. By participating in a 190-mile adventure, we hope to bring compassion, and proof that there are people who care. With helping out the conditions of those living with HIV/AIDS, we are bringing forth beauty. In solidarity with our riding mates, and love amongst ourselves, we only wish to bring better lives to at least a handful of people.

About Our Cause:
Over 25,000 individuals in the Chicago area are living with HIV, many of whom are not even aware of their HIV status. Ride for AIDS Chicago beneficiaries work with all impacted communities in the Chicago area, working to slow the spread of the virus and assure those infected receive proper medical and support services.
