We're raising money for this event: Ride for AIDS Chicago 2010
Our Goal:
$4,500.00
Amount Raised:
$4,690.00
Our Message:
Dear Friends,

Contrary to popular believe, HIV & Aids haven’t gone away. Its death sentence maybe gone but the social, financial, mental and physical ramifications still exist. It forces most infected people to live in the shadows for fear of what friends, co-workers and family may think.

Many of us are more blessed than we realize. I can’t imagine what it would be like not to have found my partner, have a good circle of friends, health insurance and / or the financial means to get the medications that will eventually save my life. Unfortunately, that is not the reality for many people, especially in today’s economy. We want to help those people move out of the shadows, enjoy life and let them live to fight another day.

Let’s build a team that truly helps those who need it now. We need more riders, crew and financial support. Each piece is equally important.
About Our Cause:
Over 25,000 individuals in the Chicago area are living with HIV, many of whom are not even aware of their HIV status. Ride for AIDS Chicago beneficiaries work with all impacted communities in the Chicago area, working to slow the spread of the virus and assure those infected receive proper medical and support services.
