Please help Amin to reach his goal of raising $5,000 for the Danny Did Foundation!
We didn’t know Amin Virani until just recently. But after we left our first meeting with him, it felt like we’d just reconnected with an old friend. Amin has decided to ride his bike around Lake Michigan – nearly 1,000 miles – as a one man band to raise money and awareness for the Danny Did Foundation. Along the way, he’ll engage people to tell them about Danny, and about our mission to prevent deaths caused by seizures. Please help Amin to reach his goal of raising $5,000 for the Danny Did Foundation! Be sure to ask your company's HR department about its matching contribution program. To see pictures from his trip and follow his journal updates, 'friend' Amin Virani on Facebook. UPDATE - Six days into his trip, near the Wisconsin/Michigan border, Amin suffered a knee injury which is forcing him to conclude his trip around the lake via a rental car. He is disappointed, but we are proud of his efforts. He'll still be stopping in each town to talk with people about Danny and Danny Did as he had originally planned.
This is from Amin:
"I have been a fan on the Facebook page for a while now and am constantly impressed by how many people have been touched by the way Danny lived. It only seems right that we keep this momentum that Danny started going. With that said, I would like to raise awareness and donations for The Danny Did Foundation. It looks like Danny Did enjoy the outdoors so I plan on doing the same. I will be taking a 1,000 mile lap around Lake Michigan on my bicycle while engaging with people along the way. I will be starting from Danny's street in Chicago and will ride north through Wisconsin, over to Michigan and through Indiana before riding back home. Thank you again for all of your hard work and support and thank you Danny for the inspiration."
