Niles Wildflower, Art, and Garden Show
May 17th, 2009
The Niles Main Street Association is pleased to present the 16th Annual Wildflower, Art, and Garden Show on Sunday, May 17th.
The Garden Tour is from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $15.00 the day of the event. You may buy tickets outside Thyme for Tea on the day of the event.
Various businesses will also be offering advanced tickets.
The rest of the festival, which is located along Niles Boulevard in Fremont, is from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and is free.
This festival blends the beauty of the garden, the joy of springtime, and the creative works of local artists in an area known for early 1900’s charm nestled against the East Bay foothills.
The Niles District of Fremont is known for a temperate climate and avid gardeners who generously share their efforts and experiences. The garden tour is self-guided and offers visitors the experience of cottage gardens complete with vintage picket fences and the spectacle of heritage plants such as a wisteria that’s over 100 years old.
In addition to the gardens on the tour, visitors have always enjoyed the friendly neighborhood ambiance as they stroll along the tour site.
Visitors will also enjoy the activity on the sidewalks that include vendor displays, plant sales, and musical entertainment. The variety of specialty stores and restaurants provide a delightful experience that will last the entire day and entice people to return often to this quirky “village”.
