Silent Auction
This year's silent auction includes items in the following popular categories:
- Adult parties
- Kid parties
- Getaways
- Teacher items (by school)
We'll also have a special category called "Double Platinum" that will feature a selection of some of our most exciting auction offerings!
Through the auction and our other event-related fundraising (sponsorships, ticket sales, the raffle and Fund-A-Teacher), we hope to raise over $300,000 for our schools. With your help, we can exceed this fundraising goal ... while we line up fantastic parties and trips for ourselves, as well as exciting teacher activities for our kids!
Check out the Auction Catalog to learn more about this year's auction items and how they will be sold. The two most common ways for items to be auctioned are by:
- Sign-up - Sign-up items are offered for a fixed price to a maximum number of attendees. The first people to sign up on the bid sheet are the ones who win. Once the maximum is reached, no additional sign-ups are taken. However, you may place your name on the waiting list on the sign-up sheet. If additional spots become available, you will automatically be added to the list of winners.
- Silent bidding - To win a party through silent bidding, bidders must compete against one another throughout the duration of the auction. At the end of the bidding period, the pre-specified number of individuals or groups with the highest bids are the ones who win the item.
On Monday, April 5th, a printed version of the auction catalog will be sent home to all district families and a PDF version will be made available on this site.
Remember:
- You must attend the event on April 24th to make a bid!
- Bidding for guests with Rocker tickets begins at 5:30pm. That's 90 minutes before the doors open to our general admission guests. Take advantage of this extra time to sign up for all the best of the subscription parties and place early bids for hard-to-get teacher items.
- Groupies and Fans can join the fun at 7:00 pm.
- Bidding closes between 8:00 and 8:30 pm, so remember to do your shopping early!
As you review the auction catalog, consider forming a "syndicate" to bid in a group for popular auction items. If your syndicate wins, the cost of the items will be divided equally among the members of the bidding group. See "Bidding in Groups" within the silent auction rules for more information.
Finally, just a note that this year's check-out process will be easier than ever before. Buy your tickets online and we'll use the same credit card for all purchases you make at the party, including auction items, raffle tickets, and Fund-A-Teacher contributions (unless you request otherwise). As part of this Express Checkout process, you'll receive a receipt for all of your purchases via email the week following the party.
Thank you for supporting the auction!
