bike ride from San Francisco to
Tiburon, passing through Sausalito and the peerless Marin landscape. Take a brunch break bayside in Tiburon before
heading back to San Francisco, either by
ferry or by bike, if you're game!
Includes: Ferry fare, if needed.

Hosted by the Deviren family, please join Head of School Jeff Bissell and CAIS families for a Turkish dinner at Tuba Restaurant and Grill, a critically acclaimed Turkish restaurant located in the heart of the Mission District of San Francisco.
Tuba’s food melds the best of all Mediterranean cultures. Inspired by Romanesque Mediterranean villas, and influenced by the myriad peoples who settled in that wondrous part of the world, Tuba is a delightful mix of cultures, inspired in the homes, hearths and taverns of the rugged land of Turkey. Come to the party to be entertained....and to be the entertainment! CAIS parent Uma Higuchi will host twenty (20) guests, who will divide into four teams to compete in a variety of improvisational events. Only the team with guts, creativity
and swiftness will be victorious and be awarded with praise and prizes. Uma, who is known for her culinary prowess, will also serve up some delicious refreshments.

An equation of learning, fun and curiosity is at the heart of middle school math teacher Rita Soukhova’s teaching style. Ms. Soukhova will host you and your fourth grader for a night of competition, testing your mathematical prowess against that of your offspring. IQ puzzles, shape up Problems, “release the prisoner” games and other fun logic conundrums. Can you rise to the challenge, or will you child crush you? Win or lose, parents can see firsthand why Ms. Soukhova’s seventh and eighth grade classes are so popular with CAIS students.

CAIS parents Lorna Rose and Ida Kwan will host eight (8) kindergarteners for a ceramics extravaganza at Color Me Mine in Daly City. Kids will get to choose their own ceramic piece (valued up to $20) and paint it any color in the rainbow. Then, a dedicated staff member will show the kids the process of glazing and firing their works of art. The ceramics will be ready to take home after the kids enjoy a pizza lunch in the party room.
Color Me Mine is located at 445 Westlake Shopping Center, Daly City, CA 94015.

Third grade TAs Fang Lao Shi, Tang Lao Shi and Wang Lao Shi will teach your child to string and knot their own beaded jewelry. The kids will get to pick their favorite colored Chinese beads to create the most beautiful accessories for their personal collection. Anything they make, they get to keep!

Bounce off the walls with Ms. Donnelly, Mr. Hughes and Ms. Morgan at House of Air - an indoor trampoline park located in a historic airplane hangar. After the kids spend an hour tossing themselves around, they will enjoy a delicious pizza lunch.
Families will need to provide transportation to and from House of Air for this party. Parents will need to sign a HOA waiver for each child. Waivers will be provided before outing.
House of Air is located at West Crissy Field, Building 926, 926 (Old) Mason Street in The Presidio of San Francisco, California.

Older kids will love joining their buddies and favorite teachers for a ball game on a Friday night! Sixth grade teacher Mark Churchill , fifth grade teacher Ron Morris and Lower School Director Peter Moore will take a group of students to see the San Francisco Giants play the Oakland A’s at AT&T. They will be seated in View Reserve, Section 321. The outing will include food and beverages.
Mr. Moore, Mr. Churchill and Mr. Morris will contact you with more precise logistical information of the game and transportation to and from the stadium.

Young girls who love baseball have a great opportunity to hang out with some of CAIS’ well-known baseball fanatics – Susan Sherman and Teresa Shyu. Ten (10) students are invited out on a warm Friday night in June to watch the SF Giants play the Texas Rangers at AT&T Park. They will be seated in Section 143, Rows 21-22. The outing will include food and beverages.
Ms. Sherman and Shyu Lao Shi will contact you with more precise logistical information of the game and transportation to and from the stadium.

Traditional Tea Ceremony (Grades 3+)

CAIS teacher Liu Lao Shi and Sui Lao Shi will teach a group of fifteen (15) students the traditions surrounding one of China's most revered commodities: tea. Students will learn how tea has become a cultural phenomenon and will observe a traditional tea ceremony. After the ceremony, the students will have the opportunity to try Wu Long and Green teas with some delicious Chinese snacks.

Put on your Ray-Bans and equip your noisy crickets for this movie outing to see Men in Black 3. Eight (8) fourth and fifth grade kids will go back in time with Will Smith to find and save a young Tommy Lee Jones. Escorting them on this temporal adventure, from school to movie theater, are CAIS TAs Ms. Chienchi Liu and Ms. Joyce Chen.
Students will gather after school and take Muni together to the movie theater with the teachers. Downtown movie theater to be determined closer to the date. Ms. Liu and Ms. Chen will contact you closer to the date with logistical information.
