Join us in the fight against hunger:
Help the Homeless
There is currently a hunger epidemic in the United States that has been magnified by the economic climate. It’s estimated that there are 14 million children that risk going hungry this year in our country. The crisis is evident in the drastic increase of children that rely on free and reduced cost meals in our schools. Many of these kids go hungry at night or even for an entire weekend. Childhood hunger causes devastating effects including stunted educational development.
Homeless people are men, women, and children, families and individuals, young and old, full-time workers and unemployed, with and without addiction and/or mental illness. Homelessness crosses all lines – racial, religious, class, ethnic and culture – and affects everyone.
