The Women’s Board of Art Therapy Connection will host its inaugural Art and Soul Benefit at the vibrant Chicago Cultural Center in downtown Chicago on February 28, 2009. The Art and Soul Benefit will take place under the newly renovated Tiffany stained glass dome of the extraordinary Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center. The night will unveil a silent and live auction featuring a unique collection of art work from premier Chicago area artists, cocktails, light dinner and musical entertainment by the highly acclaimed Blue Lightning Band who has toured with Koko Taylor, Buddy Guy and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Proceeds will benefit Art Therapy Connection, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization based in Chicago dedicated to serving children who are at risk of failure in their school setting. ATC works with children and teenagers in the Chicago Public Schools to develop self-awareness and self-management skills by integrating art with therapy to achieve social, emotional and academic success.
