Heather Martin says that “Everyone is just a friend I haven’t met yet.” She grew up in a large, close Christian family in Huntertown where her values of family, love, and giving were solidified. Upon attending Carroll High and Purdue University, she found she had a strong desire to serve the unseen and unheard.  She has served our community by helping to bring awareness to the need for special needs children to receive an education in the Catholic education system.  With the help of some very special friends, her dream of Catholic education for all has become reality. Heather currently serves on the board of The Warm and Cozy for The Sexual Assault Center. She is married to Dr. Marcus Martin of The Fort Wayne Pet Hospital, and they have 5 children,  Elaina, Alyssa, Trevor, Grant, and Tyler. Heather’s performance this evening is dedicated to her children, so they may see that with love, dedication, and an open, giving heart, everyone can make a difference.
