Lisa and Dan Vukmirovich
Dan and Lisa Vukmirovich are both excited to be a part of this year's Center for the Homeless Dancing with Our Stars Miracle Auction. Since marrying in 1995, they have been making music together—most recently at Granger Community Church where Dan works as a Pastor of Music, and Lisa serves on the vocal team. They also enjoy playing with their own "family band" which includes daughters Anna, 11, who plays piano/keyboards, and Sophie, 9, who plays the drums. In addition, Lisa is a teacher at Marquette Montessori Academy in South Bend. Dan and Lisa welcome this particular dancing opportunity, which of course will embarrass their daughters to no end.
Originally from Wisconsin, Amy O'Day began her lifelong dream of a career in dance 14 years ago. Within the first six months of teaching Amy became the studio manager and began competing professionally in the American Rhythm division. After meeting her future husband, Brian, at a dance convention in Acapulco, Amy moved to South Bend to teach and compete professionally. Throughout her career Amy has been awarded several top teacher awards. Together, Amy and Brian have competed professionally for the past 13 years in both the International Latin and American Smooth divisions. They have won numerous competitions throughout the country as well as placing in the top 18 Latin couples at the world’s largest competition, the Ohio Star Ball. Today, Amy and Brian own DanceSport On The Plaza where she continues to teach and perform while raising their three boys, which is her greatest love of all.
