2010 Dancing With Our Stars Miracle Auction
Hosted By: Center for the Homeless

Ida Watson

When Ida Reynolds Watson arrived in the South Bend community in 2005, she rolled up her sleeves and got involved in many community organizations and causes. She and her husband Perry are the proud owners of Lexus of Mishawaka. Ida became aware of the Center for the Homeless through her grandchildren Michelle and Perry V. They attend the Montessori Academy at Edison Lakes. Annually, the Academy hosts a race, the Fall Frolic, where all funds raised support the Montessori classroom at the Center for the Homeless. Ida was impressed to learn that the Center has the only Montessori classroom in the country that serves only homeless children!

Anyone who knows Ida will tell you that she loves to dance. Two years ago she learned of Dancing with Our Stars, and she has voted for many friends who have participated in past years. They all exclaim excitement and fun spent to support a very worthy cause, so Ida is glad to participate. Her children Perry IV and Maya tell her she will be natural; she tells them she’s terrified, but this is the year she is stepping up and out!
