Chris and Allie Nanni
Allie and Chris Nanni love dancing and love the Center for the Homeless, so it was a no brainer when they were asked to participate in this year’s event. Both graduates of Notre Dame, they have made South Bend home on and off since 1993 (with an eight-year hiatus in Chicago). Allie and Chris have lived extensively in Latin America, hence their love of Latin American music. Chris now works for the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County, and Allison does part-time research and technical writing for local nonprofits and universities. Allie also loves to make other women feel beautiful through her role as a Mary Kay consultant! The Nannis have three children: Marcello, 8 (does not like to dance and does not like the spotlight); Louie, 6 (likes to dance but not the spotlight); and Maria, 3 (likes any spotlight or mirror she can find).
The Nanni's FABULOUS coach Brian O’Day has been dancing Ballroom & Latin for the past 22 years. He has been awarded with numerous top teacher awards throughout the United States & has served on the dance - board of directors - for a major U.S. chain of dance studios for more than11 yrs. At the Great Race competition at Notre Dame in 2007, Brian won a local Dancing With the Stars competition with WSBT meteorologist Cari Peugot. Together Brian & Amy have been dancing for the past 11 years. Within the first 6 months they won the Indiana Challenge Championship Professional International Latin . They have also placed in the finals of many major U. S.
