Sara Matthews

Sara Mathews is a home-town grad and proud Plymouth Pilgrim. After a stint at the school of hard knocks and becoming a single mother of four, Sara earned her ASN from Ivy Tech Community College and her BSN from Bethel University. While she worked hard to become the nurse, administrator and advocate that she is today there is nothing she is more proud of than her four amazing children. Her son Conner is serving his country in the United States Navy. After concluding her senior year, daughter Alexandra is continuing her education at Ball State University with her goal being a degree in Music Education. Son, Jake is a junior at Plymouth High School and her youngest daughter Hannah, completing the Mathews’ crew, proudly takes her position as a PHS freshman.
Sara has a huge heart for helping others, which she applies not only to her career as the Executive Director of Kindred Hospice, or when leading the charge as Plymouth Band Booster President, ensuring the Pride of Plymouth are being fed, kept warm and supported during performances and competitions. Affectionately known as “Mama Mathews” seldom do you ever see a Plymouth Marching Band event without this gal in the background being everything from cheerleader to nurse to psuedo parent. She loves her community and feels the Neighborhood Center is a fabulous resource. When asked to participate in Dancing With the Stars “YES” came out of her mouth before her brain caught up! SO MARSHALL COUNTY VOTERS HERE SHE IS!
