KSUT Presents Eliza Gilkyson in concert
Sponsored by Bank of the San Juans

Wednesday, May 20, 2020 · 7:30 p.m. concert · 6:45 p.m. doors

Henry Strater Theatre · 699 Main Ave. · Durango, CO

Eliza Gilkyson is a twice Grammy-nominated folk singer/songwriter and activist who is one of the most respected musicians in folk, roots, and Americana circles. Her songs have been covered by Joan Baez, Bob Geldof, Tom Rush, and Rosanne Cash, and have appeared in films, PBS specials and on prime-time TV. A member of the Austin Music Hall of Fame and a recent inductee into the Austin Songwriter Hall of Fame, she has won countless Folk Alliance and Austin Music awards, including Songwriter of the Year in 2014.

Eliza’s music has always offered a vivid reflection of the times we live in, full of joys and sorrows, each song a window into a life of struggle and triumph in a culture she feels is “caught between collapse and reinvention.”

Eliza will be joined by guitarist Nina Gerber, who is one of the most in-demand guitarists in folk, country, bluegrass, rock, and blues. She has performed and recorded with a Who's Who of Americana music, including Karla Bonoff, Peter Rowan, Nanci Griffith, Greg Brown, Lucky Kaplansky, Mollie O'Brien, Dave Alvin, Laurie Lewis, and many others - many of whom are regulars on local concert and festival stages and the KSUT Music Blend.

Tickets cost $22 in advance (which includes a $2 per ticket service charge to offset credit card and web hosting fees), and can be purchased here. Unsold tickets will be available at the door on the night of the show for $25 cash or $27 with credit card. Due to limited seating, there are no price discounts for children. All seats are general admission.
