Jane Melvin is delighted to be an adopted Hoosier. She runs a consulting practice specializing in strategy and creativity. Since founding her company in 2002, Jane has traveled the world to help her clients figure out who they are, what they do and how to do it better. She is a sought after strategist, speaker and coach and when she’s not living out of a suitcase, she can often be found in the ballroom, trying to figure out which side is left when she looks in the mirror.
A proud graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy, she holds a political science degree from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, and an MBA from Yale University.
She is a co-founder of Dancing With Chicago Celebrities, an all-volunteer charity that in 15 years has raised and donated over $3 million to breast cancer research and access to care.
In her spare time, she pens the infrequent limerick, creates chocolate desserts, and walks to the mailbox with her dog named Kevin. A committed Citizen who believes we all have a responsibility to take part in our communities, she has also volunteered for Junior Achievement and is active in the League of Women Voters.
Jane and Rick, her husband of 32 years, are proud parents of Charlie, who studies at the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota. After attending Dancing With the Fort Wayne Stars many times, she is honored and humbled to dance The Carriage House’s ballroom.
