Kayla DeMarchis has spent her entire adult life in the fashion industry. After earning her degree in Fashion Merchandising at Brooks College in Long Beach, CA, she started her career with Matilda Jane Clothing in 2008. It is there that she found her love for giving and supporting local charities. She even started a group at Matilda Jane Clothing called The Giving Committee which focused on helping connect employees with a local charitable organization which allowed the employees to get more involved in the community. In 2012, she was instrumental in creating Warm & Cozy; a fundraising event that supports the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center. Serving as Co-Chair for the past eleven years, the fundraiser has raised over $1 million. It was through this involvement that she learned how a group of individuals with passion can make a difference in their community.
Recently, Kayla started her own business called Gypsy Blue Flower Truck….a cute vintage flower truck that does pop up events around town, allowing the unique experience of building your own bouquet. This new venture has allowed her to connect her love of all things pretty with an outlet of bringing smiles to the community and giving back as much as possible.
