Help us Fund-a-Teacher in Music and Art!
Music and art programs are a vital part of an enriched education.
In 2000, our district had 1,900 students. Today, we teach 2,650 students -- that's 38% growth over the decade! We thank our local community for their support of Measure C which funds the incremental grade-level teachers needed to keep up with enrollment growth. But we need additional funding to ensure that our music and art instruction can keep up as well.
That's why at Rock the Foundation 2011, MPAEF's traditional "Fund-a-Need" fundraising efforts will be focused entirely on funding teachers in music and art! Our goal is to raise $100,000 towards additional music and art instruction. Not reaching this goal means each child will spend less quality time in music and art classes. Together, we can provide our schools with the music and art teachers needed to enhance the quality of our kids' education and school experience.
So, on April 9, when it's time to help Fund-A-Teacher, please participate at a level that is meaningful for you. Our music and art programs need our support so they can continue to thrive.
Thanks to a donation by Shutterfly, each family contributing $250 or more to Fund-A-Teacher will receive a gift certificate for a 20-page Shutterfly photo album as a token of our appreciation.
Thank you in advance for your support of Fund-A-Teacher.
Our schools, our children, and our teachers are counting on us!
