Currently serving military families are invited to spend a memorable day together during the Chicago Botanic Garden's Military Appreciation Day with USO of Illinois! The Garden's 27 gardens and four natural areas, uniquely situated on 385 acres on and around nine islands, with six miles of lake shoreline will be a day of rest, relaxation, education, and beauty.

*Formal Military Appreciation Day activities end at 3pm, but guests are welcome to enjoy the Garden until closing at 9pm

Model Railroad Garden, Butterflies and Blooms Exhibit, Art Exhibition from National Veterans Art Museum, Nature Play Garden, interactive beaver dam water table, DIY terrarium in the Buehler Enabling Garden, Bonsai Workshop, Garden BINGO, Yoga and “Cooking is Therapeutic” workshops, Tram tours....and much much more!

Free parking is provided for all event attendees - use code "Military Appreciation Day."
Tickets will be available for pick-up from USO Representatives in front of the Main Entrance from 8:45am-10am.
At point of pick-up, ALL individuals registered for tickets must be present.
Due to the event schedule, USO registration table will close promptly at 10:00am.
Late Arrivals will not be given their wristbands for the complimentary lunch, program and workshops.
USO of Illinois allotment of free tickets and parking are available ONLY to Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve Personnel and their Dependents.
Retired Military, DOD and Civilian employees are not eligible to register for this USO Event.
Event is for military youth ages 0-2 (USO Diaper Division) & 3-10 (USO Discovery Kids) & 11-18 (USO Teens/Tweens) along with a parent(s).
This event is not for military without attending children dependents.
A Current ID Card will be REQUIRED to pick up tickets.
NO I.D. = NO TICKETS
Limitations are in place to ensure the greatest number of military & dependents can enjoy this USO of Illinois program.
+Registration is available for each member of the immediate family (military, spouse & dependent children).
+Married couples are not eligible to bring civilian guest when both military member and spouse is attending with their child(ren).
+Single military parents may register for service member and all dependent youth in addition to one civilian guest.
+Military spouses may register for all dependent youth in addition to one civilian guest when service member is not attending.
+Military without children are not eligible to register for this family program.
Transportation to and from this event will be at your own expense.
