I'm raising money for this event: Chicago 2011
 My Message
Hello All!
As many of you know and have learned through knowing me, I've always been a vocal advocate for "safe and consensual" when it comes to any kind of play, be it personally or through the business.    As we make our way through this new decade, I've decided to challenge myself this year by getting more "physical" and "active" with my advocacy for charitable causes.   In addition to my usual sponsorships for various events and charitable programs throughout the year, I have also decided to put myself out there in a most physical manner : by committing to ride in the Chicago Ride for AIDS 2011.

On the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, July 9th and 10th, I will be participating with hundreds of others to ride in the Chicago Ride for AIDS 2011 event and am looking for support from you and those that you feel would be willing to support such a worthwhile cause.   The Chicago Ride for AIDS event is a 2-day, 200 mile bike ride from Evanston, IL to Lake Geneva, WI and back.   All proceeds from this event go to help maintain valuable and worthwhile charitable programs and services offered by the beneficiaries of this event.   There are 8 beneficiaries supported by this event and include Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN), AIDS Foundation of Chicago, Bonaventure House, Howard Brown Health Center of Chicago, About Face Theatre and others.

With your help I hope to well exceed the $1000 minimum fund raising requirement.  Why TPAN?   Simple really.   Since 1987, TPAN has been committed to creating and maintaining a community center of support for anyone affected by HIV & AIDS and empowering them through various outreach programs and services.   Why Chicago?   I have personal ties to Chicago and the many friends who live there.

If you've always wanted to participate in a fundraising event such as this, but for some reason can't, I ask that you enable me to be your legs and make a pledge towards my efforts. No matter what amount, your pledge carries your voice and will be heard, felt and appreciated by many!

If Chicago is too far out of reach for you personally, please consider making a donation to any of your local HIV & AIDS charities this month of June.

Warmest regards and Thank You in advance!

Scott Douglas
