Please take stock of your blessings, as I have, and help me to pay them forward by supporting this wonderful cause. We kick and punch for an hour and the funds that we raise are distributed to charities such as (but not limited to) Augie's Quest, The Make a Wish Foundation, Autism Speaks, The American Brain Tumor Association and the ISKC families in need fund. This year, I am kicking in memory of Bobby, Dave and Mary Elizabeth, and in honor of the fiercest warrior girls I know - Kathy, Lisa, Shelly and Carol. And still they rise....   My Goal: $1,500.00 Amount Raised: $2,145.00 About my cause: The Illinois Shotokan Booster Club is a 501(c)3 Not for Profit Corporation dedicated to supporting the Illinois Shotokan Karate Clubs students and to provide opportunities for its members to Give Back. The Kick For Cures event is our largest fundraiser and provides a way for our members to support individuals in the club as well as through national organization who are battling serious illness. A portion of the proceeds support Jennifer Malloy Academic Scholarship Program in memory of a young student who lost her battle with brain cancer but inspired the creation of the scholarship and charity support programs we have today.
