On January 12th, 2011, I watched my best friend’s life change after the loss of her 5 year old son, Dallas Daniels. After many months of research, we now realize that Dallas’s death, along with thousands of others, could have been prevented.
My son, Andrew, and Dallas were the best of friends.  They both attended pre-school together.  Our families would spend weekends, holidays and
summer vacations together.  Who knew, one night, all of that would be gone.  Having to explain to a 5-year old that his best friend has gone to Heaven, is by far the hardest thing a mother should never have to do.
It is now our mission to provide the information and education to those suffering from epilepsy.  Even one life saved means one family does not have to experience the nightmare that the Daniels know all too well.

On June 20-23, my friend, Katie Smith and I will be competing in the  Health Occupation Students of America’s (HOSA) National Competition in Orlando, Florida.  Katie and I are LPN Students at James Rumsey Technical Institute in Martinsburg, WVOur presentation will bring our mission to spread Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) Awareness to Orlando HealthCare students and professionals.

We are financially responsible for our own transportation, lodging and meals for the trip.  We are raising funds to help us take this very important journey and spread the awareness of SUDEP.

We have several television and newspaper interviews set up while we are in Orlando, along with the National Recognition events.

We are in need of $3500 to cover the entire cost of the trip (Transportation, Lodging and Meals)
Any assistance is greatly appreciated and recognition of your contribution would be made at the National Conference.

Any help you may be able to give is greatly appreciated.  Even if you cannot donate monetarily, please keep us in thought and prayer in June that we can touch as many lives as possible.

Our presentation and awareness is dedicated to those families that have lost a loved one to SUDEP.
